Japanese Cedar. A fast growing and robust Conifer that is useful for screens and shelter belts and highly valued in the Orient as a timber tree. Forms a stately pyramidal tree if left untrimmed with curved needle foliage in green and bronze tones. Evergreen.

Exceptionally vigorous and hardy, tolerant of wind even salt laden, quick growing and a classic pyramidal shape. Short curved needles of evergreen foliage and a straight trunk with reddish bark. A very useful Conifer.

A selected form introduced and registered to Cedar Lodge of Taranaki.

A dense, drought-resistant cypress with broadly conical habit. Lovely silvery grey green foliage. Suitable for hedges and wind breaks. Does not tolerate salt winds or wet feet. Good tolerance to shade and cypress canker. Plant at 1.5m centres for shelter. Evergreen. Hardy.

An easy, fast-growing conifer with bright-yellow, aromatic foliage, especially in full sun. A very distinctive specimen tree with a narrow upright habit. Will tolerate salty and windy conditions. Will tolerate dry sites once established. Evergreen. Hardy.

Can be trimmed, but care should be taken not to trim back too hard. Height after 5 years approx 5m

aka Mediterranean Cypress

The term gracilis means graceful and slender which describes this narrow upright Conifer perfectly. Neat and tidy blue-green foliage that grows in a perfect column tapering to a narrow point. Likes a sunny open position in nice deeply worked soil. Evergreen.

A great Conifer for adding a touch of formality to the garden or accentuating a feature. Combines well with most other colours.

A conifer that is known for its slender, columnar, upright growth habit that can bring a formal look to any garden when planted in a row. Dark green foliage holds tight as it grows tall. Stunning as a specimen or as pillars along a driveway, will catch everyone`s eye. Likes full sun. Evergreen.

aka Flowering Gum

Flowering Gum. Handsome, single trunk, round headed tree with stringy reddish-brown bark. Glossy leaves with a red rib that are a deep grey-green. In summer spectacular flowers are displayed well above the foliage. Likes the sun and protection from frost especially when young.

The flower colour can range from brightest red, orange, pink on seedling grown trees. No matter what the colour this is a very showy tree.

Rosea is a popular tree for its abundance of large mainly red flowers that cover the tree in late winter and early spring. Rosea develops an open spreading crown, once the tree is established. It is quite drought and lime tolerant and moderately salt tolerant and also adapts really well to wetter climates. Evergreen

A beautiful mountain gum that develops into a tall shrub or small tree. With silvery-grey leaves they are rounded and carry cream flowers in clusters through Summer. It has a smooth bark that is fragrant along with its fragrant leaves. This will make a stunning specimen in any garden. Evergreen.

Responds well to to hard pruning to maintain for shape and size. Drought tolerant.

A medium upright evergreen tree commonly known as Leatherwood and native to western Tasmania. Has lovely white flowers in summer and is a good plant to attract the bees Small leaved foliage is edged in gold.
