Floribunda. Perfectly shaped, large double blooms in glowing salmon pink with a light fragrance appear in clusters throughout the season. A vigorous healthy grower that shows good disease resistance. 1986. PVR.

Climber Noisette. A summer flowering small climber with spicy scented flowers of primrose yellow. The quartered frilly blooms have a green button eye. We have this in our garden and it performs well. Repeats intermittently until autumn. 1842.

Patio. This rose is definitely a little honey. Exquisite warm apricot-salmon buds opening to a non fading honey apricot shade. Very strong healthy bush and clean grower. Would look fantastic in a terracotta pot or as a border plant.

Centifolia. An old rose from France that goes under many different names. It grows into a vigorous shrub with strong branches. The abundant blooms are large, cupped, very fragrant and appear over summer. The flowers are mostly off white with purple and crimson stripes. 1845.

This rose is also called Village Maid, La Rubanee, Belle des Jardins and Rosa x centifolia variegata - despite the identity crisis this is still a very interesting an desirable rose.

Floribunda. New Release. Another gorgeous red rose from the Rob Somerfield stable of roses. A stunning scarlet red that covers the bush throughout the season. Good disease resistance on glossy green leaves. Deciduous.

Floribunda/Shrub. Rich, hearty, peach tones melting into pinks through a champagne haze. Offers a rich abundance of flowers that will delight throughout the season. Bred by Rob Somerfield in NZ and received Certificate of Merit, International RoseTrial Palmerston North 2018.

Hybrid Tea. A modern twist on an old favourite. With beautiful soft yellow blooms with a hint of pink on the outer petals, the rose is complimented by rich green foliage. Nice compact bush with few thorns. A lovely light fragrance completes the picture. Bred by Bob Matthews.

Moss. A beautiful Rose which was discovered in Switzerland in the 1820's. The clear pink blooms are sweetly scented, fully double and cupped. Flowers in summer and should be pruned after flowering. Slightly drooping habit but quite hardy all the same.

The buds are said to look like a 'cocked hat' hence the name Chapeau De Napoleon or 'Napoleon's Hat'. Not sure what the little general would think about that, mind you he did love Josephine and she in turn had a passion for roses.......
