Pittorsporums love well drained fertile soil but are remarkably tolerant plants and will adapt to less than ideal conditions. They are hardy and generally healthy.

Pittosporums bloom in spring with inconspicuous dark purple-brown flowers that will only come to your attention when you notice their strong fragrance on the evening air.

This is a tough and hardy little native shrub that will grow just about anywhere including dry, windy coastal sites. Thick rounded grey green foliage and a nice compact habit make it ideal as a background filler or a low hedge. Fragrant flowers in spring followed by berries. Evergreen
