Pendant, bell shaped blooms in a rich, purple hue open from late spring to autumn. The flower does not flare even when mature and this is a non-clinging clematis and belongs to pruning group 2. Likes cool moist, well mulched soil and support as it grows. Deciduous herbaceous perennial.
