Deep red, waxy skin and white flesh that is tinted red. High levels of health-promoting anthocyanins are present in the fruit. The flavour and aroma of this apple is distinctively 'tropical' hence the name. Matures about late March. Grafted on M27 rootstock to keep dwarfed, can be container grown.

Introduced in 1930 and still popular today. Aromatic with an intense rich flavour. Purplish- red skin, yellow flesh, medium sized fruit. Vigorous and a good producer, keeps well. Ripe Late season, around April/May. Deciduous.

Heritage Apple. This apple's main feature would be the fact that it ripens as early as December. The skin is yellow blushed red and the flesh is crisp with a sweet flavour. Has been grown in NZ for over 150 years. Generally a healthy grower. Deciduous.

Weeping. Develops into an excellent tree with an umbrella head and dense green foliage. Masses of spring blossom followed in summer by good crops of full-sized highly coloured, sweetly flavoured apples. Originates from Australia. Partially self-fertile, but golden delicious beneficial. Deciduous.

Double Graft Nashi Pear. Housi- Excellent eating, sweet, juicy with good acid balance and a fine texture. Large golden brown fruit - ripe in March-April. Nijisseiki - A gourmet pear with very juicy, sweet, creamy white, crisp flesh. Medium sized greenish-yellow fruit ripe March-April. Deciduous.
Double grafted to allow pollination within the same tree. Suitable to be grown throughout NZ. Flowers are susceptible to late frosts.

Double Graft Nashi Pear. Kosui - Golden brown fruit with russeted skin and crisp juicy flesh superb for eating. Hosui - Round fruit with golden russeted skin. Intensely flavoured juicy flesh. These Pears are ripe around March when the fruit should come away easily from the tree with a light twist.
