aka Coffee Plant
An attractive cone shaped shrub with glossy green lanceolate leaves that flower white star-shaped flowers in spring. The clusters of flowers have a strong smell like Jasmine. Coffee berries turn green to red in time for Xmas. 3- 4 years to fruit. Can also be used as a houseplant. Self-fertile.
Coffee palnts are heavy feeders and require regular applications of a high NPK fertiliser through its growing season.

Dragonfruit tree is a cactus native to southern Mexico and Central America. The fruit of this variety, also known as Pitaya, has a bright red skin with green scales that resemble a dragon. The pulp is red with small black seeds. Very large (25-30 cm) white flowers open overnight and wither by morning.

Something different. More suitable for warmer climates but may tolerate light frosts. Can be an attractive tree with rich dark green and bronze foliage. Pods up to 1m long contain sweet, juicy, white pulp with a soft candy-floss-like flesh that tastes of vanilla ice-cream. Self-fertile.
Tree will start producing pods in 3 years.

Great specimen tree or ideal as a shade tree that will add interest to any garden. It's very cold hardy as its deciduous, however late frost can damage new shoots. Better to be grown in a warm sheltered position. Full sun.
The swollen stalks can be eaten fresh or added to dishes where you use dried fruit. They can be stored for 2 months where the flavour improves. The swollen stalks taste like crunchy raisins. Stalks can be hand picked from the tree or left to naturally drop.

Here's something a little bit different for all you connoisseurs. Unusual ornamental fruiting tree with pretty single white flowers in spring followed by distinctive brown fruit with rough textured skin. The fruit is olive green to start, edible when it turns reddish brown. Deciduous.

Dark red/black fruit, similar to boysenberry but about 15mm long. Fruit from 2 years on year old wood. Fast growing deciduous tree with large oval serrated leaves. Flowers in spring, Harvest in summer. Easy to grow in a sunny position. Self fertile. Deciduous.
Flowers appear early spring. Small yellow/green pendulous catkins separate male and female. The male is more slender than the female. Both appear on the one tree. Self fertile and wind pollination. More than one tree will increase fruit set. Harvest - spread a cloth beneath the tree and let fruit drop onto it. Harvest over 3 months, daily collection is best.
