Austin. Shrub/Climber. Described by David Austin as "their finest white rose to date" and appropriately named after his daughter Claire. Buds of pale lemon open to large white blooms with petals arranged in concentric circles. The plentiful blooms are very fragrant. Excellent disease resistance. 2011.

Claire Austin is also an established nursery woman growing perennials. Her book "Irises- A Gardeners Encyclopedia" is a "must have" for any Iris grower.

Climber. If you're fond of the confectionery of the same name then you'll love this frothy, fragrant double pink rose with profuse and prolific blooms. The flowers fade to white with age. Good 'sweet' fragrance. Vigorous and healthy rose which is aptly named.

Climber Hybrid Tea. One of the all time greats of modern rose breeding. Never fails to please, always admired. Dark green glossy foliage sets the stage for salmon pink blooms with copper and yellow highlights. Good fragrance, repeats well, disease resistant. Multi award winner. 1974

Hybrid Musk. When I first started growing roses this was one of my favourites. The small double flowers are produced in large clusters and are a blend of apricot, buff and pink. Nice bronze tones to the foliage and a good musky fragrance. Few thorns. Use as large shrub or small climber. 1925.

Climber - Noisette. We just love this rose at Wairere and it is much admired in our garden. Seldom without a bloom from spring through to autumn. The flowers are a silky shade of apricot yellow with a loose relaxed petal formation. Good sweet fragrance and simply stunning in full bloom. Few thorns

Modern Climber. A new climber with old world blooms. Very pretty soft pink, cup-shaped double blooms with a lovely sweet fragrance. Masses of flowers cover this rose and repeat well. Nominated for "Rose of Excellence" award in The Netherlands. Awarded Certificate of Merit.

Climber-Tea. My first impression of this rose is one of grace and softness. Large, double, well shaped blooms of creamy white tinged with pink. The blooms open flat and ruffled and are richly fragrant. Foliage is light green and plentiful. Repeats well. 1838.

Climber Floribunda. One of the very best red climbers -ever- and bred right here in NZ. This easy to grow and well behaved climbing rose is nearly always in flower with semi-double, dark red blooms. Generally healthy, never fails to please and looks great growing along a fence. Great for picking.
