This form of Plane Tree is native to Eastern Europe and Asia, though is so tolerant and hardy it will grow almost anywhere. The large dissected soft green foliage forms a broad round head set on a trunk with attractive grey mottled bark. A handsome tree indeed. Deciduous.

Poplars are wonderful shelter and landscape trees but do need room to grow. Their roots can be invasive so ensure they are not planted near domestic drains or pathways.
