This really is a lovely maple with fresh glossy green spring and summer foliage that turns vibrant shades of yellow and orange in the autumn. Strong upright growth habit. Plant in the sun or semi-shade preferably with protection from harsh wind. An excellent feature tree. Deciduous.

AKA 'Jewel of the Fall' so you know this tree is going to provide beautiful autumn colour. The deep orange tones will be more prevalent in colder climates.

This ancient cultivar from the 1800's is more tolerant of the sun than many thought we still recommend a sheltered position. The name refers to the cascading leaves.

Known for it's transition of colour from greens to reds as winter progresses. As soon as the temperatures begin to drop the bark begins to change colour to yellow at the trunk, the colder it gets the further up the colour moves from pale yellow through orange to intense red at the tips. Deciduous.

A very colourful Maple with new spring leaves of bright butter-yellow. These turn an attractive lime-green shade during summer. A particularly striking small tree adding a nice foliage variation. First discovered in an Ashburton garden. Deciduous.

"Koto-No-Ito" means harp strings, and it has been named as such because of it's narrow strap like leaves that dance in the wind. The green leaves change to yellow and orange in autumn. This tree has a rounded, dense habit. Prefers moist well drained soil and full sun. Deciduous.
