'Crimson King' is an open, strong, upright to spreading, evergreen shrub. Foliage is ovate, glossy, leathery and dark green. This cultivar produces single, deep crimson flowers with centres of golden stamens from mid-autumn to early winter. Good in sunny position. Suitable for formal hedges.

Japonica. Here's something a bit different - a Camellia with twisted, undulating stems and leaves. The leaves which are a glossy dark green are complemented by large semi-double red blooms in spring. Something of interest all year round. Happiest in acid soil and dappled light.
