Standard Hybrid Tea. An outstanding classic shaped rose chosen to honour the 125th Jubilee of Nelson College for Girls. The blooms are a creamy apricot tinged with pink and set beautifully against dense, glossy, green disease resistant foliage. A tall vigorous grower. PVR

Nelson Girls was bred by Chris Warner of England and named in 2006 by importer Tasman Bay Roses.

Hybrid Tea. Night Light produces a large number of lemon yellow blooms with outer petals ageing to cream. A compact bush of medium height with dark glossy foliage. Winner of the Certificate of Merit Palmerston North International Trial Ground 2017. Bred by Rob Somerfield, released 2019.

aka Sweet Gesture

Floribunda. Flowers start as a tight pointed bud and open to a very clear pink with a mild, sweet fragrance. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Nice tidy bush. Bred by McGredy (1986) and introduced in New Zealand by Egmont Roses in 1993 as 'Northland'.

aka Old Black Moss

Moss. An exquisite rose with tight buds clad with dark green 'moss' that open to reveal small flowers in sumptuous maroon-black highlighted with golden stamens. The blooms carry a sweet fragrance and appear in summer. Small dainty leaves and few prickles. France 1845.

Pronounced 'Nwee duh yoong' this rose is named for poet Edward Young whose poem 'Night Thoughts' was very popular in the 19th century.

Floribunda. Celebrating 70 years of the NZ Gardener Magazine. The blooms on this rose are delightfully pretty in a soft apricot-pink, charming old fashioned form. Maturing flowers turn a dusky pink. Mid green leaves complete the picture on this healthy compact bush.

Floribunda. A truly spectacular rose that has large fully double blooms that are 'painted' with orange and lemon yellow stripes. The glossy green disease resistant foliage is tinted with a hint of mahogany. Very striking. Few thorns. Another winner from Mr McGredy. 1992.

Floribunda. Pacific Glory has masses of blooms in large clusters in a unique colour combination of lavender, pink and tan. Relatively tall with very dark glossy foliage. Good disease resistance. Mild sweet fragrance. Bred by Rob Somerfield in 2012.

Hybrid Tea. Named after the Waikato Rosarian Paddy Stephens. This beautiful rose has coral-orange, salmon flowers which are lightly scented and of a perfect form, repeats well throughout the season. Lush green foliage and a healthy vigorous growth habit. 1991.

Modern Shrub Polyantha. Another delightful rose from French breeder Delbard. This rose produces masses of semi-double pink to soft lavender flowers that have a white central zone highlighted with yellow stamens. The blooms have a lovely fragrance. Very free-flowering. PVR 2000.
