Climber - Cluster Flowered. A very popular free flowering rose with large semi-double blooms of warm pink which are offset by showy golden stamens. Nice light fragrance. Robust, tolerant of wet weather and easily grown. A real pleasure to have in the garden. 1967.

Apricot-yellow buds open to shallowly cupped, many petalled rosettes. They are a beautiful blend of subtle apricot-pink and soft yellow, giving the overall impression of apricot, with creamy outer petals. Strong, honey, myrrh fragrance.

The name was inspired by the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd.

Floribunda. A showy rose with an amazingly generous display of deep rich yellow flowers through out the season. A very vigorous healthy grower with a tidy upright growth habit. (Not to be confused with climbing rose of the same name.)

Hybrid Tea. An excellent rose with healthy, disease resistant foliage, seductively scented, long stemmed, deep purple blooms that are perfect to pick. Stunning addition to any garden and bred right here in NZ by Rob Somerfield. 1996. Multi Award Winner.

Rob Somerfield says this rose is "named after the liqueur 'Blackberry Nip' that many will remember from our past. I'm afraid my memory of it is not a great one - my fault as I somewhat over indulged, now days I would choose to drink in the scent of this beautiful rose rather than the liqueur!

Rugosa. An outstanding Rose that repeats well with flowers that have an overwhelming fragrance. The blooms are clear white and semi-double. Always admired in the garden. Tolerant of poor soils and light shade. Excellent large hips in autumn. Can be used as a robust hedge. 1892.

A lovely little rose with button-hole blooms of pretty pink that appear in large sprays throughout summer. The blooms are lightly scented. Fine green foliage and stems with few thorns. Often confused with 'Cecile Brunner' but distinguished by the long sepals at the base of each bloom. 1920.
