A particularly lovely Ilam hybrid with yellow flowers that just a hint of orange on the tips. Blooms in late October/November. Fresh green summer foliage with good autumn tones prior to leaf fall. Plant in the sun or part shade in deep acid soil for best results. Avoid Lime. Deciduous.

'Wryneck' is a word used to describe a painful muscle spasm that causes a stiff neck - I suppose this Azalea was so named as it is so beautiful you can't stop turning your neck to look at it. That's my story anyway and I'm sticking to it.

Stunning, yellow clumping stems will form to create an ideal bamboo for screening. Can be trimmed like a hedge to maintain height. Thrives in part shade but prefers full sun. Sunshine will bring out the stunning colour of yellow canes with green stripes. Non invasive, slow to clump. Evergreen.

aka Fountain Bamboo

Fountain Bamboo is eaten by the giant panda more than any other variety. Thin foliage hangs around the canes giving the appearance of a fountain. Canes become deep purple to black. On hot summer days the foliage rolls up for protection then as the sun moves on the foliage opens up.

Non running. Prefers morning sun, great for pots and indoor.

Dense clump-forming bamboo with curving stems clothed with soft, fresh green leaves. An airy, graceful plant suitable for pool-sides, patios, feature gardens. Prefers well-drained soil and is drought tolerant. Although it looks good next to water it does not like wet feet. Evergreen.

aka Slender Banksia, Candlestick Banksia

This Banksia attenuata is dwarf Banksia growing 2-3m tall depending on the growing environment. The flowers are tall, cylindrical, and narrow, just like candlesticks and bright yellow. Flowers from mid-sping to winter. Leaves long and serrated. Likes well drained soils in full sun. Evergreen.

A well branched and bushy shrub. Has large rusty coloured hairy flowerheads. Requires free draining soils. Able to withstand medium frosts once established. Low maintenance hardy shrub that'll bring birds to your garden.

A fast growing attractively foliaged plant which produces terminal green flower heads in Autumn. Requires pruning after flowering for shape and size. Thrives well in a sunny position and well drained soil. Tolerant of drought conditions once established so good for coastal planting.

The Tui love the nectar from the flowers.

Dwarf prostrate/spreading groundcover with dusky-red flower heads. New leaf growth has a lovely rust colour. Likes light to medium well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. Drought and frost tolerant once established. Great option for coastal or embankment planting and containers. Slow growing. Evergreen.

aka Scarlet Banksia

Deep scarlet to orange cones from flowers that appear in late winter to early summer and make a dramatic impact in gardens and as cut flowers. Prefers light, well drained soil with low nutrient level, particularly phosphates. This is an upright shrub with smooth bark and broad, tooth edged leave. Evergreen.

Can grow to 3m, or prune to maintain as a shorter bushy shrub.
