One of the biggest misconceptions in the world of gardening is that Roses are difficult and time-consuming to grow. Nothing could be further from the truth. Roses are easy to grow and are amongst the most tolerant of plants. Obviously, with the correct feeding and cultivation techniques they will perform to their absolute best. However even if you are the most neglectful gardener you should still be able to enjoy the perfection of a rose bush in bloom. Alba. Named after the 'Queen of Denmark', this summer flowering Alba rose has very fragrant, double, quartered, mid pink flowers with a button eye. The flowers appear in plentiful clusters arching the branches with their weight. The foliage is a grey-green and quite coarse. 1826.

Tea. Consistently popular world wide since its introduction in 1910. The Lady has long, copper-apricot buds that open to large, loose, double blooms of warm yellow. The stems and foliage have tones of purple-bronze which complement the blooms rather nicely. A heady, fruity fragrance is an added bonus.

Named after Lady Hillington the wife of Baron Hillington of Hillingdon Court, Uxbridge where the breeder of this rose, Lowe and Shawyer had a nursery.
