Hybrid Tea. A must have for red rose lovers and aren't we all? Plump pointed buds open to sumptuous velvety red blooms that carry a delicious 'raspberry' fragrance. Just lovely to pick and long lasting in a vase. Nice overall habit. AKA 'City of Newcastle' and 'Veterans Honor'. 1997.

Austin Rose. Robust and hardy with full double blooms that appear continuously throughout the season. The buds are a rich orange-red and open to reveal loosely arranged blooms in salmon pink with a golden yellow reverse on the petals. Nice fragrance and good disease resistance. 2009.

Hybrid Tea Pillar. Put the power of love into your garden with this drop dead gorgeous rose. The dusky red buds open to showy dark blooms in tones of magenta red. The fragrance is powerful and alluring. Disease resistant glossy foliage. Should definitely be on the must have list.

Floribunda Std. Bred right here in New Zealand, this lovely rose has a soft fragrance and opulent blooms of rich velvety red. Repeats well from summer to autumn, flowers lasts well in a vase. A special tribute to those who gave their life in service, or just a personal way of remembrance.

China. Rich, deep black-red, semi-double flowers with pronounced golden stamens and a nice fragrance appear more or less continuously throughout the summer. A medium sized bush with few thorns. Nice glossy foliage. France 1859.

Bourbon. The petals of this lovely rose are perfectly arranged to form very large blooms that are double and shaded a rich rose pink. An exquisite fragrance delights the nose, the relatively thorn free stems delight the gardener. Tall, vigorous and will bloom generously throughout the season. 1851.

Hybrid Tea. Large, perfectly formed blooms of bright crimson-scarlet are borne on strong stems. A special rose for special occasions. Nice light fragrance. One of the best for cutting or exhibition. We rate it highly and have planted this rose in our roadside garden. 1981.

Moss. Beautiful double, fragrant blooms of rich pink with a hint of purple and grey. Very free-flowering throughout summer. Nice dark foliage, the light 'mossing' is also dark green. Best lightly pruned immediately after flowering. From France, 1853.

Named for a young general in Napoleon's army - Louis-Nicolas Davout - who remained loyal to the very end.

Floribunda Std. A unique and striking rose with a powerful spicy fragrance. The generous trusses of small, semi-double flowers are shaded a sensuous rich purple highlighted with golden stamens. While this rose is quite vigorous it has a compact habit and is virtually thornless.

The NZRS recommend that this rose is best grown in light shade to protect the beautiful blooms from burning in the sun.
